How it works
Hiring, start to finish
Reserve online, collect it yourself, return it when you're done. No depot visit, no transport charge, no paperwork.
Unlocking — coming soon
Remote unlock and lock from your phone is on its way, but isn't live yet. For now, when you're at the machine and ready to start, phone Aaron on 021 362017 and he'll unlock it for you remotely. Everything else — booking, payment, extending, and the return — already works exactly as described below.
Booking
Find a machine
Available equipmentshows only what is on site and free right now — if you can see it, you can hire it today. Each listing gives you the working height, whether it's electric or diesel, and the daily rate.
Choose how many days
Hires start the day you book — pick-up is on demand, so there's no future start date to choose. Pick the number of days you expect to need; a one-day hire is collected and returned the same day. You can always add days later.
Check the estimate
Before you commit you'll see the daily rate, the booking fee, the Damage Waiver & Fuel charge and the refundable deposit hold, with a “what am I paying for?” breakdown. All figures are GST-exclusive until the payment screen, which shows the GST-inclusive total.
Sign in and reserve
You'll be asked to sign in (or create an account) at this point, so the hire is attached to a real contact. Reserving holds the machine for you — nobody else can book it while you finish paying.
Pay
Card payment for the hire, plus a hold on your card for the damage deposit. A hold is not a charge: the money is reserved by your bank and released in full when the machine comes back undamaged.
On site
Check in on site
Once payment clears, the app moves you to check-in. This is the moment your hire starts and the machine becomes yours for the period you booked.
Do the job
Give the machine a look over before you start — controls, guard rails, tyres, and any damage that was already there. If something isn't right, don't use it; contact us and we'll sort it out.
Need longer?
Extend from your rental screen any time before it's due back, and you'll be charged for the extra days at the same daily rate you booked at. The booking fee is only ever charged once, so extending is just the extra days.
Returning
Start the return
Open your active rental and choose to return it. Do this at the machine — the next step needs photographs of it.
Park it back
Return the machine to where you collected it, lowered, switched off and out of the way. Diesel machines should come back with the fuel level you started with, or you'll be charged for the refuel.
Photograph it
The app walks you through a short set of photos around the machine. Take them in decent light and get in close on anything that looks marked. These photos are what protect you: they're compared against how the machine looked when it went out, so pre-existing wear is never charged to you.
Submit and check out
Submitting ends your hire — billing stops at that point, so there's no benefit in delaying it.
Assessment and deposit release
The photos are assessed for new damage. Clear, and your deposit hold is released in full and you get a receipt. If something is found, it goes to a person to review before any charge is made — you'll be told what was found, and you can dispute it from Help & contact.
Worth knowing
No transport cost
The machines are already on site. You collect and return them yourself, so there's no delivery fee, no pick-up fee, and no waiting on a truck — the usual charge each way on a standard hire simply isn't there.
The deposit is a hold, not a charge
Your bank reserves the amount against your card and releases it when the return is cleared. Depending on your bank it can take a few days to disappear from your statement after release.
You must be competent to operate it
These are elevated work platforms. Only operate one if you're trained and competent to do so, wear a harness where the machine requires it, and follow the site's rules. If you're unsure which machine suits the job, call us before you book.
Something gone wrong?
Breakdown, damage, or a machine that won't start — stop and get in touch rather than pressing on. Nothing about a fault you report is charged to you.
